The child of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, a physician, and Thelma Burnell Henson, Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942, at Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. As a teenager and a professional pianist and won a competition in the Chicago Music Festival. Her home was in Fort Collins, Colorado with her family. She completed her high schooling at Fort Collins High School where she completed her studies in the year 1960.
